The Livingston County Board met last night to further discuss the wind energy ordinance and its moratorium.
Livingston County Board Chairman Marty Fannin explained what the move of extending it another ninety days means for the ordinance.
“Really, all this is, is a safety net for not just the board, but the ZBA. The ZBA has yet to go through the ordinance and make a decision and send that back to us. The moratorium is set to end at the end of November and if the moratorium ends and we don’t have a new ordinance in place, then it reverts back to the old ordinance and those numbers and that’s really not what we want. This is just ensuring we have something in place, just in case we need it,” Fannin said.
