October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Livingston County Public Health Department has kicked off its Pink Porches Campaign.
With less than two weeks until the first of October, Linda Rhodes, health education and marketing director for the department, describes what kind of reminders these pink light bulbs are meant to give.
“It’s really about making sure that you have good breast health, and that includes making sure you’re doing your self-check each month and also when it’s time to start getting mammograms, that you’re getting them by the recommendations that are there,” Rhodes said.
For more information or to buy a pink light bulb, contact the health department at 844-7174.
