A 27-year-old Evenglow employee was arrested for theft after admitting to taking a resident’s medication.

According to Pontiac Police Chief Jim Woolford, officers were called to Evenglow late Sunday afternoon after a family member of a resident reported finding Amy Studebaker in the resident’s bedroom, standing next to bottles of medication. When Studebaker left, the family member inspected the bottles and found some of the medication missing. When the family member reported the incident to Evenglow staff, it was discovered Studebaker was assigned to work on a completely different floor than where she was found.

Officers located Studebaker at her home, where she admitted to taking the pills.

Studebaker was arrested on the charge of theft of less than $500 and taken to the Livingston County Jail, where she was released after posting bond.
