The Pontiac Public Library will be hosting “Effective Communication Strategies” Thursday from 5:30 to 7.

Library Director Kristin Holzhauer said Elizabeth Wells with the Illinois Alzheimers Association will be leading the program.

“We want everyone to come out and join us for the discussion as we explore the different types of communication strategies that are needed as the disease progresses in a patient. So, if you know someone who has Alzheime’rs or if you yourself are caring for a person with Alzheimer’s, this is a great, informative program and discussion time,” Holzhauer said.

People interested in attending are asked to RSVP at the library’s circulation desk or by calling 844-7229.
