The Threshermen’s Bluegrass Festival starts this afternoon at the Threshermen’s Park just north of Pontiac.

Organizer and event emcee Mark Osment was a guest on the Community Forum and gave some highlights of this year’s event.

“We’ve got coming in from Canada one of the top bluegrass acts going right now. They have one of the top albums. From Nova Scotia, we have the Spinney Brothers will be here for three shows. They’ll be here Thursday evening and two shows on Friday. They are really doing well right now. They’re promoting their latest album “Living the Dream,” Osment said.
