The Great Apple Crunch is happening all over the country Thursday.

Livingston County Farm Bureau manager Jody Hughes explains the whole event.

“This is a push to get every student in the state of Illinois to eat an Illinois apple that day. We do have quite a few orchards here in the state. We’re hoping that either through the school cafeteria or at home, that every kid will have an apple that day,” Hughes said.
