October is National Physical Therapy Month, and Pontiac Healthcare and Rehab is celebrating with free pie Tuesday from 1-3.

Community Liaison Joycelyn Miller explained the celebration is to give back not only to the physical therapists, but also the patients benefitting from the service.

“One (part of it is) employee morale. So, we want to recognize their important support for our company in what they do. The other thing is we really want to stress that independence piece, so we have an independence day, where, on their last day before they get to go home, we celebrate it with them baking cupcakes and we do everything like they would just like before they’re going to go home,” Miller said.

Pontiac Healthcare and Rehab is located at 300 W. Lowell Avenue in Pontiac.
