High school football regular seasons end tonight, and Pontiac is in a must-win situaton tonight at Kankakee. It’s on WJEZ-FM 98.9 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00. The showcase game of the area is in Mackinaw as Tri-Valley visits Deer Creek-Mackinaw in a meeting of the top two teams in Class 2A. Bloomington and Normal West need to win to have a shot at the playoffs.

Bloomington Thunder hockey returns home to face the Muskegon Lumberjacks in a 7:00 contest at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Pre-game is 6:45 on WJBC.com.
The Cubs have taken a three-games-to-two lead in the National League Championship Series after Thursday’s 8-4 win over the Dodgers. Jon Lester gave up five hits in seven innings, Javy Baez drove in three runs and Addison Russell homered for the North Siders. The series returns to Wrigley Field tomorrow for Game 6 when the Cubs can move on to the World Series with a win.
The Packers defeated the Bears 26-10 as Aaron Rodgers set a Green Bay record for completions in a game. Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer left the game in the second quarter with a broken arm.
