The Pontiac Community Art Center kicks off its five year anniversary celebration Saturday with “Pontiac Art – A Journey Through Time.”
Vickie Fitzgerald, city liaison with the center, explains.
“We are going to have five stops and we are connecting history with art and history of artists in the community. To make that work, we’ll have two of the stops being historical sites. The first being the Jones House and second will be the Yost House. The next will be the Eagle Theatre, then we are going to move forward in time to the Gilders Museum. Then the final stop will be back to the art center. There will be a light reception and then we will unveil the Five By Five show, invite everyone to take a look and just enjoy,” Fitzgerald said.
This event is from 1 to 5 Saturday. Tickets for the walking or trolley tour are available at the center, located at 103 W. Madison Street or by calling 309-310-1281.
