After breaking ground in November 2014 and hitting a few speed bumps, the new Good Samaritan Home – Pontiac opened its doors for its residents Tuesday morning.

CEO and CFO Glenda Tannahill was there to move the residents to their new home, and spoke about the emotional journey leading up to Tuesday.

“We have long term, loving staff here and we have been at this for seven years, and literally, you can see I’m getting tears in my eyes to think that today’s the day we can give this to them (the residents). Well long overdue,” Tannahill said.

Good Samaritan – Pontiac is located on Ewing Drive, near OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.
