The United Way of Livingston County continues to collect pennies in an effort to reach its goal of hitting the one million mark.

Deb Howard, executive director of the United Way of Livingston County gave the all the locations canisters can now be found.

“You can drop off at any of the area banks or credit union, so it’s State Bank of Pontiac, Bank of Pontiac, First Financial Bank, SOCU, and State Bank of Saunemin. You can take them to the Majik Bean Café, which is the local Starbucks, WJEZ,  and now added to our list is you can take them to any of the Livingston County Board of Realtors offices, or just new to the list is County Market. Do please take your pennies in,” Howard said.

Howard said the canisters would be emptied Friday for the first time and replaced to collect more pennies.
