The Pontiac Public Library is accepting winter hats, scarves, mittens and other cold-weather clothing for its Mitten Tree.

Library Director Kristin Holzhauer explains.

“If you’re looking for a way to give this season, we have our Mitten Tree in the Library. You can come in and donate hats, gloves, mittens, scarves – anything that would keep someone warm in the elements this season. And you can come decorate the tree with those and at the end of the season, we will donate them to local schools to be sent home with families that are in need for the winter,” Holzhauer said.

They will be collecting all these items throughout the entire month of December. For more information, call the library at 844-7229.
