For the sixth year, the Child Protection Network will have its Blue Kids Trees set up throughout the county.
Executive Director Judy Brucker explains how these trees help families in need.
“They are intended to give people an opportunity to give back to the community in a slightly different way. They have real ‘need’ items placed on them, so instead of asking for a toy or something like that, we’re asking for things like laundry detergent, sheets, pillows and blankets. And those items that are donated will be stocked here at our center and given out to those families we serve year around,” Brucker said.
