The Livingston County Health Department is offering assessments to evaluate the needs of seniors in the county.
Department caseworker Jayme Bradshaw explained why these assessments are done.
“So we look at a whole lot of different areas. Basically, in a nut shell, what it boils down to is what can they do on their own, what do they get help with and what do they still need help with. And this can be a whole variety of different things. Maybe they just need help getting groceries. Maybe everything else is ok. Maybe they can’t get down into the basement to do laundry. Maybe it’s just preparing meals,” Bradshaw said.
