The newly reorganized Livingston County Board gathered last night to a reconsideration of a vote for vice chairman.

Board Chairman Bob Young explains.

“We had some input on it and Mr. Steichen made a motion to have a vote to reconsider the nomination for the vice chairman. He did get a second for it. Then when it came to the vote, it was soundly defeated. I think only person voted to pass it. That made Mr. Shafer still the vice chairman. Going forward, we have a clean slate and Mr. Shafer, as originally was elected, is still the vice chairman,” Young said.
