The Livingston County Board extended the moratorium concerning wind energy for the county.

County Chairman Bob Young explains.

“We were a little concerned that we possibly might not have the ordinances completed by February 28, and just to protect the people of the county so someone can’t come in and file an application under the old ordinances, we wanted to make sure we had the new ordinances all signed, sealed and delivered just the way we wanted it, so we thought if it runs late, we’ll extend the moratorium three more months to March, April and May and that would give us enough time to get everything wrapped up,” Young said.
