The Livingston County War Museum-Dal Estes Education Center has been hard at work looking to figure out the mystery of Alex Bell.

That all began when mystery letters showed up at the museum and has led all the way to Australia, where Bell was from. Education Director David Estes explains what’s left to find before the mystery is solved.

“We’re doing what we can on our end and hopefully they can find out about Jack Turner, the writer of the letters. Mr. Turner may no longer be living, but he may have a son, daughter or other relatives that would find this very interesting,” Estes said.

The museum is located on the third floor at 321 North Main Street in Pontiac.
