Fire department stops gas leak

A gas leak was reported shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of West Moulton Street in Pontiac.

According to Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon, a car accidentally hit a gas meter, causing a leak outside of a residence. He said they were able to shut the gas off and ventilate the home.

Runyon said no injuries were reported in this incident.
