Fairbury Vision Center is celebrating Dr. Robin S. Coady, who retired after 25 years of service, with an open house later today.

Coady began practicing in Fairbury in 1991, and in her own words, commented on what her 25 years was like.

“I’ve developed some very strong relationships with patients over the years. One of the very nice things and a part of the practice I really enjoy is getting to know people not just individuals, but as families. I see family members come in and watching the children grow up and some of them I’m now seeing the children of the children I started seeing when I started out in 1991 in the early years. The rewarding part of being in a small community like Fairbury is people do seem to appreciate what you do for them and that’s very rewarding,” Coady said.

The open house will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the vision center at 2 Aspen Court in Fairbury.
