In Sunday’s women’s basketball, Indiana State broke open a close game in the final quarter as they defeated Illinois State 63-49. The Redbirds committed a season-high 29 turnovers. The Sycamores went to the free throw line 25 times compared to just 11 for the Redbirds. Megan Talbot led Illinois State with 12 points off the bench.

Divisional playoffs are set in the NFL. The Packers sprinted past the Giants 38-13 behind four touchdown passes by Aaron Rodgers, three of which were caught by Randall Cobb. The Packers play at Dallas on Sunday. The Steelers dominated the Dolphins 30-12 to set up a date with the Chiefs on Sunday in Kansas City. Antonio Brown caught two short passes and converted them into touchdowns of 50 and 62 yards in the first quarter.
The college football national championship is set for tonight in Tampa. Number 1 Alabama and Number 2 Clemson meet for the second straight year in the title game.
The Blackhawks beat the Nashville Predators 5-2 as Ryan Hartman registered his first career hat trick with a tie-breaking goal in a third period scramble in the crease and two empty-netters.
