America’s Original March Madness continues tonight in the boys high school basketball post-season. From the Corn Belt Conference, Olympia hosts Quincy Notre Dame in a Class 2A Sectional semifinal. Three of the four remaining Heart of Illinois Conference squads are crammed into the same sectional at Arcola, where Heyworth takes on Cissna Park tonight and Ridgeview and Fisher will meet tomorrow.
Class 3A and 4A Regional play opens as Pontiac and Prairie Central will play in separate games tomorrow night at Coal City.
Illinois Wesleyan women’s basketball is back in the NCAA tournament for the first time since taking the national championship in 2012. The Titans earned a bid and will face Number 17 Trine on Friday in northern Ohio.
