Attention wine drinkers! 28 California wineries are part of a lawsuit that sites dangerously high levels of arsenic! Arsenic is a natural chemical element that can be found in soil. We know it as being used as a poison from the play and movie, “Arsenic and Old Lace”! I am not going to site the wines here, you can go check it out on the internet, where everything is true, right, but I will tell you the list includes low-cost labels. Some of which you will recognize and may have in your wine cellar. What, you don’t have a wine cellar? If you did, I don’t think these wines would be of your concern!
It’s important to note, this is NOT a recall. This is a lawsuit. Interestingly, the lawsuit begins with citing deaths of prominent people that was attributed to arsenic poisoning like Napoleon Bonaparte, not Dynamite! And the lawsuit does not include a single allegation of injury or death due to drinking these particular wines. The suit is asking that the wineries have to disclose, on their bottles the risk of consuming arsenic. Kind of a truth in advertising thing. Cheers!
