The Fairbury Rotary Club is raising money for new welcome billboard for the City of Fairbury, with a big prize for two winning raffle ticket holders.

Organizer Mark Steffen has more.

“Both billboards will be hand painted and they’ll be put on aluminum that should have good longevity. The cost is going to be a little over $5,000. We’re selling raffle tickets. They’re available at Dave’s (Supermarket), Ace Hardware and SELCAS. They sell for $5 each or 4 for $15. There will be 2 winners, $250 each, $500 total in groceries from Dave’s,” Steffen said.

The billboards will highlight the nationally recognized Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
