In college baseball, Bradley blanked Illinois 2-0 in Urbana while Illinois State won its home opener over St. Louis 2-1.

On the high school softball diamonds, Pontiac edged El Paso-Gridley 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel, U-High trounced Prairie Central 16-3, PBL beat Tri-Point 23-1 and Woodland-Flanagan-Cornell topped Lowpoint-Washburn 18-7.

In prep baseball, Dwight defeated Cissna Park 14-0 on a combined six-inning no-hitter from Wesley Pulver and Logan Graham. Roanoke-Benson-Lowpoint-Washburn walked off with a 1-0 win over Woodland-Flanagan-Cornell.

In girls track, Pontiac’s Sarah Christopher took 1st in the 400 and 2nd in the 100 to lead the Indians in a quadrangular with Morton, Lincoln and Peoria Christian. She also was part of the 2nd-place 4 x 400 relay.

Illinois Wesleyan’s Maggie Graham is the CCIW Softball Player of the Week.
