The City of Pontiac is offering to plant trees in interested residents’ yards.

Street Superintendent Chris Brock has more.

“We have a spring tree program underway, where, if folks want to have a tree planted out in front of their home in the city parkway, they can get a hold of us and we can get them on a list and get them a nice, new tree in their front yard. We’ll be ordering trees probably in the next few weeks and we tend to let people pick what they like of what’s available to us and all we ask in return is they give them a drink of water for the first few years and get them established. It’s kind of a nice program for the folks here in town,” Brock said.
