Annual Cornell Days returns Friday

The Fourth annual Cornell Days is happening Friday through Sunday with entertainment, food and other events happening throughout the village.

Mayor Steve Rapp said this event has grown from a one day celebration to three days and is full of things for the whole family, including a few addition.

“Entertainment-wise, the coolest thing we’re going to have is an 1860’s baseball team – two of them – come in at 1:00 Saturday at the baseball diamond. We’re having these two teams come in and they play in 1860s uniforms, they have 1860s equipment and they play by 1860s rules – there are no lines on the baseball diamond and no umpires,” Rapp said.

Friday will be the community hot dog dinner, ice cream social and family movie. Saturday will have a craft and farmers market, Kiddie Kourt, adult and youth bags tournament and the evening ends with a youth lock in and street dance with the Unhandsome Devils. Sunday ends the celebration with community worship, community potluck brunch and the Cornell Days Parade.
