Help hurricane victims today at Pontiac Ace

Ace Hardware in Pontiac has teamed up with several local businesses to provide items to the communities hit by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

The idea behind this collection is everything on the list of needs is available at Pontiac Ace and can be purchased by those interested in donating items. Clerk Georgia Howard gave examples of needed items.

“Shop vacs, gas pressure washers, generators, high volume fans, little portable sump pumps, then they want things like scrapers and squeegees, heavy duty garbage bags – anything in that vicinity, because that’s what they’re needing right now. They’ve got a certain type of gloves they want and we have all sorts of types on hand,” Howard said.

The first shipment is headed to the Midwest Food Bank today at 1, but people can always donate, as more shipments will be made.

Pontiac Ace is located at 203 E. Livingston Street in Pontiac.
