The Pointe at Pontiac is holding a month-long food drive to benefit the Salvation Army and the Livingston County Community Food Pantry.

Regional Supervisor Peg Spear said favorite non-perishable food items and paper products, such as toilet paper, paper towels and diapers, are being accepted.

“We’ve been doing a food drive and we’re pretty excited about it. We’ve been doing it for the Livingston County Community Pantry and for the Salvation Army pantry. We’ve been collecting food items that are very needed and we’re very excited about the turnout and all the items coming in. We’re looking forward to presenting them both with their items coming up on October 4,” Spear said.

Things can be dropped off at the Pointe at Pontiac through the end of September at 120 N. Deerfield Road.
