The United Way of Livingston County kicked off its fundraising season Tuesday morning with speakers from two benefiting agencies and the Advance Drive.
Chairman Jon Kilgore said the goal has been raised a bit and urged people to get out and donate.
“One of the most important things I’ve ever done is serve on the United Way board when I first came to town and I learned about all the agencies and I saw what a wonderful thing that was happening and how all of your donations are staying local and serving our people right here in Livingston County. To meet our goal of $201,000 to make a difference among the lives across our community and county, we really need everyone to get involved and it does make a difference,” Kilgore said.
