A fifth grader from Pontiac has earned $100 for the classroom as one of the winners of an art contest conducted by Illinois American Water.

Jaden Lucas of Grace Christian School is one of 14 winners statewide from communities served by the utility. The contest was open to third, fourth and fifth graders.

Illinois American Water conducts the contest annually in conjunction with the Value of Water Coalition’s “Imagine a Day Without Water” event.
