Humiston Woods Nature Center in rural Pontiac has been holding a “Take only Pictures” photo contest since summertime, and people have until Saturday to get their submissions turned in.

Director Ed Lipinski said rules and applications can be picked up at the Pontiac Public Library and Bank of Pontiac with all the information. He’s hoping they get plenty of submissions.

“Take photos now or you can submit photos you’ve taken, because we realize that you’ve probably got great photos back in your closet or on your phone or somewhere on the digital Cloud somewhere that you’re very proud of and you can have a chance to submit that, because many of those may have been taken in other seasons,” Lipinski said.

People can take their entries to the Joe Jobst (yopst) building at the woods Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 and Monday from 1 to 5. An open house and awards will happen November 12.
