With kids and adults alike dipping into the sweet treats from Halloween earlier this week, dental health needs to be considered.
Monica Nyman is a registered dietician with the St. Louis Dairy Council and she says you can get diets for dental health basically through common healthy menus.
“Being a parent and really just trying to help your kids achieve good dental health is really the same thing as helping them achieve a healthy diet. You’re the one grocery shopping and preparing. Offer healthy foods – cheese, yogurt, milk, lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Make sure you stock your kitchen with healthy snacks. They know what’s on the ‘eligible’ list,” Nyman said.
