The Meadows Communities are holding its annual Gospel Fest from 11 to 2 Saturday at Christ Community Church in Gridley.

This event will feature Southern Gospel acts, including “A Natural High,” “Jake’s Boys” and “Eugene with the Talking Sax Peebles.”

Philanthropy and volunteer engagement director Darla Health described the purpose of the event.

“Of course it’s a fundraiser for Meadows, but we also want to meet people and we want to bring people together in a nice family environment where they can have a fun day, because we also have a bake sale going on that is hosted by our auxiliary, but supported by all the churches throughout the area that support Meadows Communities. These guys and gals are great bakers,” Heath said.

The day includes a BBQ brisket meal and costs $10. Tickets are being sold at the Meadows Communities, Chenoa Pharmacy, First Financial Bank of Gridley and also at the door.
