The Streator Community Chorus and Soloists will be presenting the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah” on Sunday, December 3, featuring local musicians.
Joining the group for the day will be Roger Amm and Josh Ramseyer. The show will be at 3:30 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Streator.
The music was composed in 1791 and the Christmas portion is the first of three part of the entire show. It has become one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music.
Other soloists for the day will be Kate Tombaugh and Julie Clemens.
This show is free to the public but a freewill offering will be taken.
