PROUD’s annual Christmas Light Up Parade is happening Friday evening in Downtown Pontiac, and will feature more than just a parade – it will be the official unveiling of the new and improved Santa House.

Interim Director Jessi Finkenbinder explained what is happening that evening.

“That begins at 6:30 and it will make its way downtown. Immediately after that, we are doing our Santa House grand opening, which you can see it downtown and it looks bright red and looking great. We are doing that with the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pontiac. So, we’ll do some fun things. We’ll have some gift bags for kids who go through it on that day. And people can see what we’ve done with it. It looks great,” Finkenbinder said.
