News of many kinds of bullying makes headlines across the world on a daily basis, and the local Boys and Girls Clubs have decided to focus on anti-bullying measures, focusing on younger than average students.
Jody Martin is the interim CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Livingston County and Prairie Central and she said they are going to try a different route.
“We have an anti-bullying program. I talked to Joe Reilly, he’s our athletic director, and he said it’s time for us to do something more consistent, especially starting with second and third grades, because that’s when they really start to get rambunctious. We really want to teach them the proper way to be respectful to each other,” Martin said.
Martin was a guest on a recent Community Forum, which can be found at WJEZ.com.
