We’ll talk Illini basketball tonight at 7 with the Brad Underwood Show. Illinois lost to New Mexico State on Saturday to drop to 8-5 on the season. Next up for the Illini, the annual Braggin’ Rights game with Missouri on Saturday.

 

Pontiac wrestlers took 13th at a meet in Springfield on Saturday. Tyler Lanning took 4th place in the 182-pound weight class. Trey Edinger took 5th in the 160 pound weight class. Chatham-Glenwood won the event. LaSalle Peru took second.

 

The Illinois State women struggled down the stretch as a chance for a home victory slipped away at the hands of Cleveland State 56-47.

 

Illinois Wesleyan’s men were crushed by 11th ranked Wash U. The Bears won big 95-69 at Shirk Center.

 

The Green Bay Packers playoff hopes took a big hit. Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions in his return from a broken collarbone as the Packers lost to Carolina 31-24.

 

The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up the NFC North with a 34-7 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jacksonville Jaguars clinch their first playoff berth in a decade with a 45-7 win over Houston.

 

The Central Illinois Flying Aces gave up the deciding goals in the final minutes of regulation as they fall to the Sioux Falls Stampede, 5-3, in South Dakota.

 

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 4-1 for their season-high fifth straight win. Patrick Kane scored two goals.
