A Flanagan man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly driving his designated driver’s vehicle home from Pontiac.
According to the Pontiac Police, a female reported her car had been stolen from the 900 block of West North Street in Pontiac after she drove several intoxicated people home. She stopped at her own residence with only one person left in the car, Josh Kallas, and when she came back outside, the car was gone and Kallas was missing.
Approximately an hour later, Kallas was found at his residence and claimed he had permission to drive the car. He told officers he didn’t remember where it was. Another person with Kallas told officers it was parked nearby and that Kallas had thrown the keys in some bushes.
Kallas was charged with aggravated DUI, possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a peace officer. His bond was set at $25,000.
