Illinois State women’s basketball captured its first Missouri Valley Conference win of the season with a 49-46 come-from-behind victory over Southern Illinois on Pack the Arena Day at Redbird Arena.

The NFL playoff weekend ended with a thrill as the Minnesota Vikings converted a 61-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs on the final play of the game to stun the New Orleans Saints 29-24. The Saints had taken the lead on a 43-yard field goal with 25 seconds left.  Earlier, the Jacksonville Jaguars held off the Pittsburgh Steelers 45-42. This Sunday, the Jaguars travel to New England for the AFC championship and the Vikings will visit Philadelphia for the NFC title with the winners headed to Minnesota on February 4 for Super Bowl LII.

The Red Wings routed the Blackhawks 4-0.

The Bulls host the Miami Heat this afternoon.

Former National League umpire Doug Harvey has died. He was 87. He umpired from 1962 through 1992 including five World Series. Harvey is one of 10 umpires in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
