The Pontiac Rec Center is holding the “Winter Beach Bonanza” Saturday, Feb 17, from 6 to 10:30.

Director Taylor Baxter said this is the first time they’re holding this evening event for students.

“It’s really just a chance for the junior high students to come to the Rec Center. It’s not technically a lock in, because they’re not staying the night, but it’s going to be available to the students after hours when we’re closed. So, they will be the only ones inside the Rec Center. There’s going to be food, games – really just a great time to get out. We’re going to have the pool open, there’s going to be different types of sports inside the Rec Center that we’re going to be playing, so we’re really excited about this one,” Baxter said.
