AIR Program going strong

The AIR Program, which stands for Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation at the Pontiac Rec Center, has been active for a couple months now and has a full event schedule for February.

Director Taylor Baxter gives listeners an idea of some of the activities for the month.

“Heather Christenson has knocked this out of the park. She is doing so many events for individuals with special needs. Some of them include, for the month of February, is bowling, a Super Bowl party at the Rec Center, there’s arts and crafts. I was looking the other day and she’s going to have Carol Simmons, who is our art teacher, they’re going to be making Valentine’s Day cards, so things like that. It’s really neat. She’s just hit it out of the park,” Baxter said.

Visit the Rec Center at 900 N. Elm Street or online at pontiac.org for the full list of activities.
