The WJEZ and NASH Icon sister stations, WJBC, WBNQ and B104, participated in their tenth annual Country Cares for St. Jude Radiothon February 8 and 9 and were able to bring in more than $96,000.
Operations Manager Dan Westhoff looked back on the ten years of radiothons and their successes and looks ahead to next year.
“So this was our tenth year for the St. Jude Radiothon and every single year, we have continued to top the previous year’s total. Last year, we had $91,285 raised for St. Jude. It’s just a testament to the community that we live in in Central Illinois and all of our business partners who help us out to allow us to get the total this year of $96,347. We look forward to next year and our goal next year is to top the $100,000 mark as we continue to roll. It’s a lofty goal, but I truly believe we can get there for the kids of St. Jude,” Westhoff said.
