The Pontiac Parks and Recreation District is holding a Mother/Son Date Night Saturday, March 10 at the Pontiac Rec Center.
Director Taylor Baxter said they’ve changed up the evening’s activities for boys and their female companions for the evening.
“It’s awesome for a lot of reasons. This year, we’re having a dinner, so we’re going to do it like we did with daddy/daughter (date night). We’re going to have the tables set out, decorations. Really a chance for the moms and sons and grandmas, aunts, sisters – doesn’t matter – to come sit down with the kids. From there, we’re going to have our bounce houses, which was a huge hit, and what we really want to incorporate this year is more interactive games,” Baxter said.
Baxter said RSVPs are due today so they can get a count for the chicken dinner. People can also come pay at the door if they wish to skip the meal and just participate in games. For questions or to RSVP, call the Rec Center at 844-6818.
