Prairie Central’s Brandon Hoselton and Drew Hoselton were both unanimous selections to the first Illinois Prairie all-conference wrestling teams while Hawks teammate Cade Kerns and Pontiac’s Liam Melvin also made first team all-conference.

 

College basketball’s first four NCAA tournament games begin tonight in Dayton. LIU Brooklyn plays Radford in a matchup of No. 16 seeds, followed by UCLA and St. Bonaventure.

 

Illinois State basketball coach Dan Muller says he expects junior forward Milik Yarbrough to put his name in for the NBA draft this summer. Yarbrough  would keep his college eligibility if he withdraws his name before the draft.

 

Illinois State baseball edged Washington 5-4 to take three our of four in their series with the Huskies. The Redbirds head to Hawaii for four games at Honolulu starting Thursday.

 

Former Illinois Wesleyan basketball standout Olivia Lett, a key player on the 2012 Titans’ national championship team, is now a head coach for the first time. She’s taking the head coaching job at Millikin.
