The NCAA Tournament has tipped off with the first of the ‘First Four’ games at Dayton. St. Bonaventure bested UCLA, 65-58, for the Bonnies’ first tournament since 1970. Radford turned back LIU Brooklyn, 71-61, in a matchup of No. 16 seeds. Tonight, North Carolina Central plays Texas Southern and Arizona State takes on Syracuse.

 

The Bears are looking to bolster their receiving corps with the signing of former Jacksonville Jaguar Allen Robinson. The former Pro-Bowler who was injured last season is set to sign a 3-year, $42 million contract.

The Bears also close to landing Philadelphia eagles tight end Trey Burton who threw that trick play touchdown pass in the Super Bowl.

 

Illinois State softball lost to nationally-ranked Oklahoma State, 9-1.

 

Illinois State junior Milik Yarbrough has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District First Team, while junior Phil Fayne was named to the Second Team.

 

The Bulls fell to the LA Clippers, 112-106, in Chicago.
