The Central Illinois Connection held a free Farm to Fork dinner Tuesday night at the Walton Centre in Fairbury to raise awareness of various community projects they are involved in. All the food offerings were provided by local businesses that included famers from around the area. The dinner was served by many volunteers that included youth from the Prairie Central FCCLA, students from Tri-Point, Salem 4 Youth, Futures Unlimited and students that are homeschooled. The Farm to Fork was a fun way to bring together people to consider volunteering to assist in the refurbishing of a historic building in Chatsworth. This building will serve as a countywide action center to engage area youth. The center will serve as a collaboration of youth and volunteers teaching learning and teaching skills such as cooking, woodworking, crafting and so much more.
