The United Way of Livingston County is nearing its annual Celebration in May, which is the time they need to meet their goal.

Just last Wednesday, they were showing 53% of their goal, and overnight, they skyrocketed to 90%, after several donations came in.

Executive Director Deb Howard shared the excitement she and her board had when they discovered they are now only $17,000 from reaching their $201,000 goal.

“Well, all of a sudden a bunch of campaign promises came in and I can’t be more excited to go that fast. We’re about $17,000 from goal and we are very excited at the United Way today and every day,” Howard said.
