A two vehicle accident at the corner of Howard and Elm Streets shortly before 8 Thursday morning left one woman with injuries.
According to a press release from the Pontiac Police, Robert Hilton of Pontiac was driving his Dodge Ram eastbound on Howard Street and became stopped in the intersection. He attempted to back west as Tabatha Tovrea, also of Pontiac, was driving south on Elm Street. Tovrea had the green light and the back of Hilton’s truck hit the driver’s side of Tovrea’s Honda Odyssey causing more than $1,500 in damage. The Honda was towed from the scene and Tovera was taken to OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center by Duffy Ambulance, where she was treated and released.
Hilton was found to be at fault for the accident and was cited for improper backing.
