Tickets are now on sale for the Vermillion Players production of “Making God Laugh,” happening at the Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center the second and third weekends in April.
Director Sean Young describes the play.
“’Making God Laugh’ is the story about a family of five that starts their story in 1980 and every scene is 10 years in the future. So we start in 1980 and end up in 2010. It’s a real family going through real struggles and real situations and if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans,” Young said.
Actress Lisa Green said it’s very relatable and that’s why people will enjoy it.
“Really, anybody can relate to so many things in this play. I would say the humor comes from very real conversations. They’re joking around together and the teasing you get between siblings and the relationships with their mother and father, too, and the things they expect from these holiday get togethers,” Green said.
