Circuit Judge Mark Fellheimer was recently elected to complete the term of a current 11th Circuit Chief Judge.
According to a press release from Chief Judge Kevin Fitzgerald’s office, Fellheimer was elected by the Circuit Judges of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Illinois to complete Fitzgerald’s term.
Fellheimer was appointed as an Associate Circuit Judge in July 2008, and was appointed to complete the term of Judge Charles Reynard January 2016. He was then elected to a full six-year term as Circuit Judge in December 2016.
This transition is effective July 1. The job includes having general administrative authority over the court and judicial assignments. The 11th Judicial Circuit includes Livingston, Ford, Logan, McLean and Woodford counties.
